Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running over the weekend and Monday, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

Can you spell stupid? Well, the casualty count is between 250 to 500 with no Allied casualties.

Mansoor Ijaz speaks about terrorism issues and AlQaeda. While These Iraqi paramilitary groups are certainly terrorists, they don't fit the standard mold. You may be right about that. It usually has been about terrorists and AlQaeda.
That makes me feel better.
and Ollie?

What did Mor-ton and Mis-aligned have to say? I don't get Fox at work and they don't repeat Special report during the war.

Has anybody seen that guy that was on Fox all the time, Monsour something? You're right, he hasn't been around (I haven't seen him at all, but might have missed him). I wonder why.

Stratfor's latest combat report regarding the clash with our 3/7:
2328 GMT - Stratfor sources say that the Iraqi formation engaged in battle with the U.S. 3-7 Cavalry between Karbala and An Najaf is likely two infantry battalions from the 14th Mechanized Brigade of the 2nd Armored Al Medina Division of the Republican Guard. Stratfor is trying to verify the report.

I saw Monsoor once, but he was talking about the terrorist camp up North Iraq.

I still think there is a surprise out in that western desert headed for Saddam..and RG.. Me too ... The news from the West has been too Non Existant.. Om Day 2 they announced that we had secured H2 and H3(the largest airfield in Iraq) -- then absolute silence. Couple that with not a SINGLE sole coming down the Highway from Baghdad to Jordan - when they expected thousands.
Then you have the wonderful slight of hand - keep everyone focused on what is happening in the South -- throw a bone of some bombing pictures of Mosul and kurdish fighters up North ... meanwhile - from the West .. chirp chirp chirp.
82nd and 101st have dissappeared, and do we really believe that the entire 4th is sitting in texas and ALL THEIR EQUIPMENT is on ships just sitting there.

Remember how he used to be at the top of the game, 2 or 3 years ago, same with Crossfire; and then came FNC, and the rest were left in the dust
