No. The 7th dates from the Civil War.
The 1st and 2nd date from 1833, thereabouts.

Good question. Wish they'd have him on soon. And again, where's Ollie?
To: Pro-Bush
I still belive that the embeddeds are not anywhere near the real battles. I think that there is something going on out there that will take a while to come out.

Fred: Press doesn't understand the difference between strategic and tactical. good point

Actually it's technically not the oldest still in existence, I think, there's a ceremonial cavalry unit based in Philadelphia that dates to the late 18th century, they're now a reserve unit though and actually were called for duty in Afghanistan

Don't know about Ollie either. Two faves are missing from FNC these days.

Not to mention their @ss and a hole in the ground.

Mansoor Ijaz speaks about terrorism issues and AlQaeda. While These Iraqi paramilitary groups are certainly terrorists, they don't fit the standard mold.

Sumpins up.

What do you think is going on out there that will take a while to come out? Inquiring minds want to know.

Ken Allard on MSNBC said today .....that we have heard nothing from the 101st or the 82nd...
I saw a clip of Spec Ops troops parachuting into western Iraq ....
I still think there is a surprise out in that western desert headed for Saddam..and RG..

Human wave tactics = dismounted infantry = shoulder-fired weapons only = no heavy weapons ......
Against tanks (armor + dual machine guns + IR + NV devices) and Bradley's (armored + chain-guns internal machine guns + NV devices) and humvee's (mounted machine guns, light armor, and mobility) ???????
Can you spell stupid? What do they think they're attacking this time? (More trucks carrying supply troops and gasoline?)

Last night Rodgers was live, around 3 am, as he passed over the Euphrates.
Fascinating, but terrifying. You could hear a constant "pop, pop" of small arms fire and the sound of our .50's firing back.
Rodgers kept saying "I'm a little nervous here, an RPG just bbarely passed over the cab of our truck, and AK rounds keep coming past us, and we're driving in a soft-skinned vehicle, not the hard shells of the Bradleys and tanks.
Anderson Cooper (?) asked him, "Can you see the irregulars shooting at you?" and Rodgers said "Well, I don't really want to stick my head out and see!"
