Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running over the weekend and Monday, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...
TOPICS: Breaking News; Foreign Affairs; War on Terror

thanks, but are they actually 'cluster bombs' they are dropping?
I know that this stuff is posted in order to 'bait' people, but as much as I hate responding to this particular stuff, I feel that we should do our best to respond and rebutt these accusations.
I come to FR generally to read the articles posted, don't find as much info. anywhere else. anyway thanks for the help, any other info. to rebutt this slime would be appreciated.

This is exactly what happened during Viet Nam, with the exception it took them 4 years to build up to this level of shamefulness. Ho Chi Min and his cronies were no less butchers than Saddam and Co. In the 15 years between 1950 and 1965, the communist is Viet Nam kill more of their won people than Saddam has in the last twenty. Now you see how dangerous Socialism really is.

Question: What is the one thing that you could do that you have not already done?
Answer: The one thing we're going to do is not tell you want we are going to do.

Rumsfeld: "...Iwouldn't listen to that analyst and would try to listen to what we're saying". good one

Q: Are you going to use the Red Cross to retrieve the bodies of the soldiers, and the POW's? dude... of course we're sending in the red cross for a recovery mission..those are the toughest of the elite forces we have....DUh
I think Rummy should start employing the "ask a stupid question get a stupid answer" policy
Or...
A: No, we plan on leaving all bodies where they lie because we really don't care about our troops. Moreover, the Red Cross works best when the bodies are still alive. Next!
I know it would probably knock out 80% of the reporters right then and there!
