The 61 splice tape yesterday is prety good evidence that Saddam is hurt or dead.
6 days in and Saddam has made NO references that can be definitively time stamped.

I am having more and more trouble seeing why we would leave it on. I'm a bit out of touch today, but have seen a couple posts saying that the TV facilities are inside an orphanage or day care center. That would explain it.

A guy on SKY news said that the Iraqi's think they are going to get an American president when this is over. "No no we don't want an American president" they said.
To: Otta B Sleepin
Fox News said last night day care center.

"NBC reporting that finding full chemical weapons protective suits is disturbing, as these are usually issued to people who are going to use the weapons. That may mean the Iraqis were planning to use WMD against civilian populations in Basra..."
I'm behind and have been scrolling back trying to find this info w/o luck -- can anyone give me a quick recap? THANKS!!

Pentagun briefing--Not yet.

Even if Saddam is dead, such a message can have an impact. I don't see why they left the TV on. There must be a reason out military left it on, otherwise they would have taken it out long ago ..

Yee-ha! Hope the word spreads to Bagdad and inspires others! I saw a former inspector interviewed over the weekend. He said there has been major anit-Saddam sentiment for many, many years, but Iraqis just too fearfull to overthrow.

Call CNN and complain and also call every GOP officeholder you have in Washington to complain there as well.
You are correct, that report was absolutely offensive... suggesting a moral equivalence between American forces and the despotic regime of Saddam Hussein.
Despicable.

Their defeat is certain. All that is uncertain is the number of days or weeks it will take.
To: Miss Marple; redlipstick
Well, maybe the illiterates buy the letter routine. Sky News guy says some of the peasants think that if Saddam leaves, they will have an American president. Redlipstick has been using a quote from an Iraqi citizen: "No more Saddam Hussein....Bush!"
