I can't answer for Commander8, but I certainly don't laugh when I write about the War of Northern Aggression. It's a common expression among Southerners.

After seeing the term about 80 zillion times, uh yes, I am aware that many Southerners use it. So you won't mind if I use my term will you? Huh, whaddaya think? Illegal Southern Secession....has a nice ring to it.
