Women should not be placed in harms way like this. I think they should only serve in the rear areas.
Right or wrong, sorry, I find this more disturbing then loosing then loosing a man. Especially think if our women are captured...with Iraqis rape machine...
Prayers for the Lynch family...

What man can deal with the thought of his wife or daughter or mother in these circumstances. Social experiment OVER!
It is hard enough for me to deal with my son being active duty.
Offense to none here who have girls who are serving.

I agree. I find it offensive that our government allows our women to be so close to the front that they can be captured and raped until dead, or killed.....
Most women can't even qualify to become fire fighters, yet we are putting them on a hostile war front with Arab fanatics? Jezzzzz.
What a shame.....

Male POWs can be raped/sexually tortured just as easily.
I remember that female soldier who was sexually assaulted as a POW in Desert Storm.
When she was interviewed, she had no problem with being identified and had no shame about her experience. I can't remember her exact words, but to paraphrase, she said that she was a soldierl, it was war, and they were trying to scare her. - it didn't work.
God, I was so proud of her and her courage! She damn well was a soldier!

"Women should not be placed in harms way like this" - agree! Especially going into a land of beasts. We knew what they are capable of, why send women in???????
