"BBC also refuses to mention the idea that Saddam's tape might have been recorded. I stayed up late last night specifically to hear the "speech" by saddam. I went turned it off (after abouth four to five minutes)because it was obvious to me that it was prerecorded.
If it that obvious to just a regular guy like me. It must be terribly obvious to people who are professionals. This really serves to confirm two things:
1. The Media (BBC or the American Equivalents) assume that most viewers are too stupid to pay any attention (they are right on that note, btw).
2. They have zero interest in helping to educate the great unwashed masses.
Sad indeed.

I didn't see the speech. By prerecorded do you mean several days ago? It would be suicide for Saddam, assuming he still alive, to go to the TV station and make a speech. But recording one in a bunker and taking the tape to the station would be doable, but would be obviously recorded.
