We must bear the burden of teaching our brethren in that part of the world what freedom and democracy can mean for them, and why our military actions are designed for their liberation, not invasion or occupation. Would that other Moslems who are now American citizens could write and call to convey this truth to their realtives still in Saudi Arabia, Labanon, Syria, Pakistan, Iraq, Iran, Egypt, and Indonesia. But they won't, because they don't believe it themselves! Islam is a religion well suited to scoailism if not outright totalitarian theocracy. Such a religion frames the mind of the adherents. Mansoor is the tiny exception, sadly. He defines jihad as a personal journey in life, not a political movement to destroy the West and all influences of the West.
