Priority Mail will insure the package will reach the appointed APO/FPO within the air system but is not necessary as once it hits the military PO it is up to them to deliver. We have sent both at the same time and had them arrive at the same time.

Dont forget to check postal restrictions for the different zipcodes
this list updates every Thursday.

Although I do not smoke,(and wish my son who is in Iraq right now didn't), the soldiers really appreciate cigarettes. I feel the soldiers, airmen, marines, and sailors over there have more than cancer to worry about. Just do not list them on the disclosure form you have to fill out for the post office. You may get some democrat post office employee who prefers that military be as uncomfortable as possible.
HAPPY SENDING I know they appreciate the care packages.

I don't think they have, actually...the request was that strangers not send care packages to soldiers they didn't know. As far as I know, that is still in effect. Packages addressed "Any Service Member" are not allowed at all and I don't think the post office will even accept them.

I do not think the DOD wants care packages sent to just ANY SOLDIER, but I think you can find a name and address at just about any church or school near you. If you can not find anyone near you, you can always send them to my son. I know he will share them with all the others he is with in the 82nd Airborne.

You must have a valid soldiers name to send a package to. If your local church or schools dont have a name check with the VFW's or American Legions as they also have been sending out packages

Wal-Mart helps put food on the table for the four Americans in the Stormhands family, not to mention the dog and the cat(both of questionable origin).

Im glad it works for you Corin - we differ here though - particularly on the issue of Chinese goods - I'll shop at walmart providing the item I buy is made in a non communist country.

Im of the opinion that they'll soon dominate the world economy and then call the shots and set the standards for the working class, while America spirals into a service (non product) economy as a result of Walmarts low price promise and the American consumers ignorance. Thats additionally fueled by third world wages and Americas over regulation.
