Rush Limbaugh shares his thoughts about the up and downs and that we will win in the end
He says over the weekend with all the up and downs you feel down, but the fact is we will win this in the end.
Some say we are fighting this as a PC war. Which sometimes makes things a little harder but we will win in the end. The less we blow up the less we have to rebuild too. It will make war longer and more deaths of Americans will be the result if we do not take out some areas of where the Iraq people live. Since some of the republican guard are there.

Rush and I must be channeling. He started out by objecting to the use of the term "setback" by so much of the media.

It's funny and sick the way our media treats this war --they're still treating it as some kind of interesting laboratory in which to try out new social models.
Look at the cover of Time magazine --do you see a corn-fed Iowa boy?
No.
It's some article gushing about this female helicopter pilot.
Now, before I have to put on all that asbestos, here, I happen to think that shows a lot of spunk --I'd fly with one, and I might even ask one for a date.
I just don't think the war is going to get fought the way it has to in order to bring an absolute maximum of our own guys back safely.
So that means they're casually risking the lives of our good men, and that makes me really mad.

Usually I toggle between Fox, CNN and MSNBC. After this weekend I'm only listening to Fox for the duration. They have been the most likely to see the light at the end of the tunnel than the other two I have noticed.
To: BunnySlippers
Hey Bunny I am with you. Fox just reported the Red Cross has reported only 1 death and a couple of injured (civilians) with all the bombing of Baghdad. They concur that the bombing has been precision and kept to military targets. Nice to hear something good said for our efforts to keep this war to the designated targets and mimimal civilian targets. God Bless America, our Troops and President Bush.

Thanks for the update. I have to listen to him on tape. Can't get an AM signal in the new building where I work. Total bummer!

Rush just said, people need to control their emotions.
I've been saying that all weekend here on FR. Too many people are overreacting to the events of the Iraqi conflict and are overwhelmed by what is taking place. That includes many conservatives.
I say relax and let the military professional do their job.
Besides, this incursion in Iraq could take 30-60-90 days to complete. I advise people take this one day at a time and not give the media too much credence at this point.

Rush should have waited before gloating about the stock market... but recent events probably killed it.
To: TLBSHOW
God Bless, Rush, he knows his job description well. 20 million people count on him to get them through the good times, bad times, and everything in between.

Rush has a democrat on now that says she will never vote democrat again and that President Bush is her President, was a big Hillary fan not anymore. Rush calls it a heart warming call.

Rush had a call late in his show Wednesday, from a pastor, asking what Americans could do to show support THAT WOULD manifest as something tangible for the troops...
Rush suggested that physical and personal denial of everyday niceties in America is basically an empty gesture.
What the troops need, he suggested, are small personal hygiene items...etc that could be mailed to troops.
It would be helpful if FReepers could identify a simple list of items and links that average Americans can use to get such to the troops....This sounds like a perfect mission for the USO Canteen, and others willing to help.
Marches are a fine means..the TV news does get to the troops, sooner or later. Email and paper letters from home get there too.
A simple supplies list and links on how to get supplies to troops... provided to everyone would be extremely helpful.
