Thank you for the beautiful graphic "Let's Pray Them Home" and for leading us in a reading of Psalm 18:2-3, Minty. Amen.

I hope you have a close connection to God. God knows I don't. Things are going to get serious here in the next few days and our troops need every extra bit of help.

Thanks for taking the time to be there in this hell of a time for our guys.

Thanks for your prayers and leading. Remember how we were praying for God to control the weather? A brutal sandstorm has come up slowing up or stopping troops headed toward Baghdad. I prayed, thanking God that he is controlling the weather. Well, I just heard a military analyst say that the sandstorm is not such bad news as it gives the troops that will fight in Baghdad a time for rest, food, etc. so they'll be in good shape once the action starts. However, pilots are still taking off the ships to protect troops even though takeoff and landing on them is really unsafe in this weather. The ships are facing high seas.

Shep had a great news item on Fox, he said he spoke with the parents of one of those chopper pilots who is a POW and Shep said he was all up and inspired just talking with them. They have great faith that God will save him, faith in our government and military, have prayer chains going in their Georgia town, calls from Zel Miller, and many people surrounding them with love. They are very strong. She said her son looked mad, and well he would.

It is my joy and the joy of most gathered here to be involved in praying for our troops and to be spending time with God on their behalf. Thank you so much for coming by to be with us in that effort. It is my own personal opinion that the connection to God is always there from His direction, and when we are wanting His intercession unselfishly for others, He is willing to respond in full and overflowing measure -- even if we are ourselves falling short or dont feel as close to Him as we might wish. I feel quite certain as evidenced by the concern and love you have for our troops that God loves you very very much.

Thanks for reporting this, maranatha! I join you in thanking God that He is in charge of the weather. I pray that the seas can become more calm according to His will so that our pilots can take off and land more easily and safely.

It is wonderful to hear of that POW family being so enfolded in prayers and strong faith. Thank you so very much for this wonderful news.

It is my joy that somehow the opportunity to start this thread was put into my hands. Thank you for being one of the ones sparking the beginning of the thread. Thank you for your steadfast service. All the glory for any of the good stuff goes to Our Father in Heaven. I am daily in awe of the prayer warriors who gather here each day. My own gratitude to all here is boundless.

Subject: Dixie Chicks - A Soldiers Remarks

Letter from radio station website in Lubbock, home of the Dixie Chick that spewed forth about our president:

Name: LT Layne McDowell

Date: 03/15/03 Time: 01:54:49 PM

Comment: An open letter to the Dixie Chicks

Earlier this week, while performing in London, you stated that you were ashamed that our President is from your home state. I wonder if you realized how many Americans would be listening. This American was listening. This Texan is ashamed that you come from my
state. I serve my country as an officer in the United States Navy. Specifically, I fly F-14
Tomcats off carriers around the world, executing the missions that preserve the very freedom you claim to exercise. I have proudly fought for my country in the skies over Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan without regret. Though I may disagree wholeheartedly with your comments, I
will defend to the death your right to say them, in America. But for you to travel to a foreign land and publicly criticize our Commander in Chief is cowardice behavior. Would you have so willingly made those comments while performing for a patriotic, flag-waving crowd of Texans in Lubbock. I
would imagine not. How dare you pocket profits off songs about soldiers, their deaths and patriotism while criticizing their Commander in Chief abroad, even while they prepare to give their lives to ensure your own freedom of speech. Please ask yourself, what have you done to deserve that sacrifice? Do not try to justify your comments by claiming that you made them only because
you care about innocent lives. Never once in our history have we committed troops to war for the purpose of taking innocent lives. We do it to protect innocent lives, even yours. If the world leaders of the late 1930's had the vision and courage of our present Commander in Chief, perhaps the evil men who caused the death of millions in WWII would have never had the opportunity to harm a soul. The potential loss of millions of lives in the future at the hands of today's evil men
necessitate action. In a separate correspondence, I am returning to you each and every Dixie Chicks CD and cassette that I have ever purchased. Never again will I allow my funds to support your behavior. All you have done is to add your name to a growing list of American "Celebrities"
who have failed to realize that they have obtained their successes on the backs of the American blue-collar workers such as our servicemen and women. To Natalie Maines: This Texan?this American will continue to risk his life to guarantee your freedoms. What will you do to deserve
it?

PASS THIS TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU KNOW

I wish there were a way to let these families know we are standing by them and their loved ones in fasting and prayer. A way to tell those who had lost a loved one that we share in their pain and stand in prayer with them. These young men and women weight heavy in my heart. So young, such a responsibility upon them. It hurts that they have to pay such a price. May the Lord be consolation and hope and strenght in their hour of need. Lord let them know they are not alone.

I think so too. It's a miniature hardcover booklet written by Larry Richards titled, "God Hears You."

She sent it to me when I was having difficult times and it helped me a lot.

O Lord, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me! Many are saying of me, "God will not deliver him." But you are a shield around me, O Lord; you bestow glory on me and lift up my head. To the Lord I cry aloud, and he answers me from his holy hill. - Psalms 3:1-4

The list from yesterday remains, our POWs are:

Patrick Miller
Joseph Hudson
Edgar Hernandez
James Riley
David Williams
Ronald Young
Shoshana Johnson

Unfortunately, we have another female who is missing. Her body has not been found, so it is assumed at this time that she is also in their hands. Let's add Jessica Lynch and her family to our prayers.
