I watched.....and am glad I did.
Got to witness Moore's meltdown..and subsequently being booed off the stage; got to hear Steve Martin's OH SO SUBTLE digs at the stars who have been the most vocal against the war and President Bush; got to see Matthew McGonnaghy's (sp?) red, white and blue flowers worn in his lapel; got to see the wonderful ending to the best actor's acceptance speech (The Pianist...can't remember his name); and finally, got to see Martin's last comments to the troops overseas, who were watching this broadcast, pledging America's support and hoping they stay safe, and come home soon.
