It seems to me it appeared that he wasn't aware that the troops had been executed. James Rosen said last night that having watched W for two years he thinks had Bush known about it he wouldn't have been nearly as composed or nice. Rosen believed he would have been furious and much more damning in his remarks.

What??!

I am stunned by this "analysis". I saw President Bush yesterday and I would say "furious" would be the apt description.

His stern and grim visage accompanied by his remarks indicated he was fully aware of what had transpired.

Naturally, I missed Rosen, but cannot fathom why he would characterize it as you say he did.

And while I'm on the subject, at that time President Bush was asked about the granting of exile for Saddam that some in the press seem intent on getting him to agree to, and he stated flatly that the deadline on that option expired Wed night. That is why when someone said Ari was asked, YET AGAIN, about this today I was amazed (but not surprised).
