Who are we going to nuke? The civilians we are dying to protect?

"While the U.S. federal government has never executed someone convicted of treason, the U.S. has tried about 30 treason cases in the nation's history."

I've been flipping between the three, and whoever is doing the best job of keeping up with us here is who I stay tuned to. Sometimes I get news here before I see it on cable!
To: ztiworoh
personally I'm stillhoding out for "Shot while trying to escape"
Did you see this clowns "Mama" -- claiming that her son was afraid "They would arrest him because he was a Muslim before he even left the states" -- seems to tell me that he was already planting the seed that "something might happen".

I like how Sodomy praised the 51st division. They were the first to drop their rifles and take a pass to sit this one out.
To: POGIFFMOO
yeah, well, the other possibility is that they flood baghdad with nerve gas and massacre 100,000 or so civilians in an attempt to get the world to turn more harshly against US

"Another famous treason trial was that of abolitionist John Brown. In 1859, he led a raid on the federal arsenal at Harpers Ferry, Virginia. He intended to raise an army and end slavery in the American South by force. Despite his noble goal, Brown's methods resulted in several deaths. As a result, he was found guilty of murder, treason, and of inciting slave insurrection and was hanged. However, he was convicted by the state of Virginia, not the federal government."

Ok...I am not overly susceptible to schmaltz. But Lester Holt just replayed the phone call that Peter Arnodt (sp) arranged for the soldier, deep in Iraq, and his wife. Lester had HER on the phone....and that was the first time she had seen the tape of her husband calling her from Iraq...just days after their first child, a daughter was born.
Wow.....my heart strings got tugged in a major way. She was crying...seeing her husband on the tape from Iraq of HIM talking to her.

Isn't quagmire a French word? Shouldn't we expunge (is that french too?) French words from our vocabulary in the interest of National Security, or at least during Red Alerts?

What LBJ said, rather have them inside the tent p***ing out than outside p***ing in? Don't do it into the wind!

Before we were trying to find someone who has been executed for treason. The best someone was able to do were some people in the 1700s. In 1947, Hans Max Haupt was convicted of treason and sentenced to life in prison for aiding his son who was a spy for Germany during World War II. The son, Herbert Hans Haupt, was tried, convicted, and executed by a military tribunal.....found this on Yahoo site

If they use Chem, a battlefield nuke might be considered -- but I don;t think we would ever do it to be honest.
Now 5 or 10 MOABS .. thats possible.
