I understand that it was Torie who came up with the idea of imbedded journalists.
To: Peach
I forgot to say that Torie spoke again of the ruse being employed by Iraqi soldiers dressing in civilian clothes and then ambushing our soldiers.
McChrystal says some soldiers on the other side are being shot in the back if they try to retreat and surrender.

Sure, follow that MSNBC commentator's advice, and then after you have won the war, look at how that type of tactic would be used against the USA, in a post-war PR war.
I think we are doing just fine.

Iraq fired two missiles into Kuwait, both brought down.
To: cyncooper
McChrystal: have dropped 2000 bombs since beginning of campaign.

According to Gen. McChrystal, we have not been in a direct firefight with RG yet.
To: Miss Marple
The MSNBC commentator felt that the casualty rate over the weekend was unacceptable. Anchor posed the question about how the tactics would look to Iraqi and Arab Tv and Military commentator maintained that our guys needed to be able to defend themselves regardless.

"AC-130 is the most expensive weapons platform we have in the sky." My guess is the B-2 costs a bit more per unit.
To: mtbrandon49
They would if people would quit watching that crap. I've not watched network TV since 1995. I was so glad when Fox News came along and I found FR.
To: abnegation
Yup, it was so bad that my husband commented on it. LOL
I saw it too and laughed. Torie is nice looking and doesn't need to detract from it with clown clothing.

I thought we were bombing them and I also heard that things will slow down here as we allow the air campaign to soften the targets and the RG a bit more before our ground troops can move. Not sure who was saying this but it was on FNC.
