I can hear the rumbling of the wind in the microphone.
I agree with you. It is not bombing but the wind.

Yes, and the French don't want to give up control of the $$$ any time soon.

Jesse Jackson wants to negotiate the release of the POWs!! He and Kofi should get together for a wine-and-shock-treatment party.
To: Miss Marple
Interesting theory that requires my further consideration.

..the US seems to remain very popular here in Kabul. The Afghans say that the country was suffering greatly from the Taliban disease but that the US cured it with an injection of B52!.Whoo hoo!
Saddam praised the 51st division in the Iraqi propaganda tape...the 51st has already surrendered. LOL! New leaflet message for the Iraqi people.

"General, General! You've invaded a country, taken 2/3rds its terrority, and suffered less than 30 causalties. When will you surrender?"For Frenchmen, only the last sentence is operative.
To: Ragtime Cowgirl
I've only seen a few typos.

Saddam praised the 51st division in the Iraqi propaganda tape...the 51st has already surrendered. LOL! New leaflet message for the Iraqi people. The entire 51st did not surrender. The initial report was that the division commander and his chief of staff/AD had surrendered. Word now is that it was a more junior officer lying in order to get better treatment.
Saddam may be dead, but this doesn't prove anything.

Spoke yesterday with a knowledgable American businessman with extensive contacts and travel throughout Iraq, Kuwait, and the Middle East.
1. Food/medicine delivery is essential to turn the tide of Iraqi opinion. The sooner, the better. Words alone will not do the job.
2. GWB/Cheney must have the chutzpah to sieze Iraqi assets to pay for the war, thus protecting the size of the Bush tax cut, particularly with GOP moderates and deficit hawks.
3. Absent that, sieze Iraqi expenditures under French and Russian contracts that promoted the development of WMD and other prohibited assets from the 1991 war.
4. As a last resort, use portion of proceeds from oil revenues to defray costs of war for both Britain and United States. This is politically the trickiest option vis-a-vis world and domestic opinion.
5. Bush has to be sufficiently pissed off at the Germans and French to ensure that they do not obtain contracts in the rebuilding of Iraq -- engineering, oil services, technology, financial, etc. Whom Bush appoints to administer provisional govt in Iraq is essential.
