To: noutopia

How soon can we get Martin Sheen, the Chixie Dicks and Hans Blix over there to verify this discovery? Hans Blix is lost in the men's room. Can't find his way out of the stall...

Is it a chemical factory or chemical WEAPON factory? A General would not be in charge of a simple industrial chemicals factory. It's a chemical WEAPONS factory.

Yes, I registered to the J Post earlier today so I could read the full story. I want this plastered all over every channel and newspaper.
I was talking to a liberal friend the other night, and I nearly had her ready to admit that GW had great courage for taking such a risk by mounting this campaign.
She said "All I can say is they better find chemical and biological weapons. Then I will support the President wholeheartedly." I'll make damn sure she reads all the details of this story.

US TROOPS CAPTURE CHEMICAL PLANTI notice CNBC is whining about how the soldiers aren't experts and UN inspectors should be brought in to confirm it, so they don't want to cover it more until it is confirmed. (By France, I suppose.)

The young Marines who captured this son of a bitch are a whole lot more disciplined than I would have been in their position.

Hope it is full of French equipment.

" I wish I got FOX...I'm stuck with CNN and MSNBC and haven't heard this yet."
Can you wait a few weeks? In some areas MSNBC is making an effort to break away from the anti American bias, but, CNN and the alphabets still can't bring themselves to support our country.Individual embedded reporters are doing a good job, despite corporate mindset-David Bloom of NBC and Walter Rodgers of CNN are 2 examples.

I think that's a different facility in Basra.

Earlier Post

The huge 100-acre complex, which is surrounded by a electrical fence, is perhaps the first illegal chemical plant to be uncovered by US troops in their current mission in Iraq. The surrounding barracks resemble an abandoned slum.
It wasn't immediately clear exactly which chemicals were being produced here, but clearly the Iraqis tried to camouflage the facility so it could not be photographed aerially, by swathing it in sand-cast walls to make it look like the surrounding desert.

I believe the Russian missiles are in the port city further south, not the chemical plant.
The chemical plant was supposed to be a metals factory.
