Obviously, Saddam is no longer alive, because Newt is wearing his glasses on Fox with Tony Snow

don't get too optimistic, the Republican Guard is not surrendering, its going to get tough from this point forward. and if there are going to be domestic terror attacks as part of this, they will come over the next few days.

I am not sure thats exactly good news, we are moving too fast and leaving our rear exposed it seems. Too many US casualties. Let open up some serious bombing first (sorry if some civilians get caught up in it, but we need to ensure our troops safety first).

it's not in doubt.....but the R guards are going to fight. If they fight, they sign their own death warrant. Not having Saddam sympathizers like them around will be a positive development for the new regime.

But if they fight they must expose their positions. When that happens they will bear the full brunt of our air supremacy.
I just pray that it is quick with as little loss of American/British life as possible.

They're going imbed themselves in the city around civilians.
This is going to get ugly.

we are moving too fast and leaving our rear exposed it seems Yes, it seems so. Reinforcements should be moving in to hold ground already taken. And they are, and that is where casualties are happening. Baghdad will take some time once the siege begins. Rushing to Baghdad isn't necessary if the rest of the country, 99% of Iraq, is occupied.
