I got the impression Iraqi TV may not be around very long.
Blitzer characterizes the situation as prisoners taken with some alive and some "killed in action". That is what Blitzer said.
Rumsfeld said the tape showing POWs in a humiliatig fashion is a violation of the Geneva, Rumsfeld is ticked big time, of course.
Wolf says couldn't it be argued that the POWS that are shown alive on tape, couldn't that be a comfort to their families. Rumsfeld, sounding very disgusted, says "you can make that argument if you want". Repeats that prisoners should not shown humiliated.
My comments are what the hell is Blitzer doing using the term killed "in action" when all reports I've heard is these were executions? I suppose there is an outside chance we've been given the wrong scenario and Wolf is right, there was some "action", but my bet is not. The minimizing and rationalizing of what is going on here by Blitzer is beyond disgusting.
Rumsfeld says the days of the current regime are numbered. Blitzer wants "days, weeks or months". Rumsfeld said it is inevitable.
