I don't plan to watch the elite patting themselves on the back this evening, so I won't know what they say.

But after today's events, if it's reported that just one of them has uttered an anti-American sentiment I hope they will receive the same recognition Hanoi Jane did during the Viet Nam War. She regrets it now, so she says, but it's something she can't undo and will follow her all her life.

I've been thinking the Defense Minister is the only one left, as well.

I have thought for days that Tariq Aziz is dead.

My son is saying scroll on FOX says Saddam is dead...Anybody see it, I'm typing.

I looked and it just says that he was injured. I have wondered why Tariq Aziz has not appeared in public. After all, last Wednesday when there were rumors in the press that he had been shot trying to flee he appeared on Iraqi television to state that he was indeed in Baghdad. So, since he hasn't appeared again maybe he is dead.

I've stuck with CNN only because Rumsfeld is still the guest.

A DUmmy is making some claim in broken English that The Mighty Wolf Blizer was tearing Rumsfeld to shreds over some request Rumsfeld made to the media not to show US POW video. Exactly how was indecipherable from the loon's post.

So my question is simple: Did Wolf really get on Rummy's case about anything at all?

Al Jazeera and the BBC broadcasts in Iraq have heavy coverage about killed and wounded Iraqi civilians and other Iraqi propaganda. They are the voice of the Iraqi regime. BOMB THEM!!!

Its becoming clear that even if Sadaam is dead, there is something that still controls these resisting Republican Guards and IMO, the origins of these controls are extra-Iraqi.

Our defined purpose in this war is to eliminate the Baathist regime, not to liberate Iraq (that is an unintended or secondary effect). The media has spun this into a liberation war.

All due respect, I think you've misread the comments here. I can't fathom anyone is surprised at this behavior.

Rumsfeld and the Pentagon are going to handle this and justice will be served, of that I have no doubt.

Since I'm typing I'll pass along a statement Tony Snow just read (from Pentagon? not sure from where it emanated) stating the grave concern the U.S. has with reports of Russia selling items to Iraq they ought not have and the statement referred to the "highest levels" or wording of that nature. I'm sure the exact statement will be posted.

I can't see anyone tearing Rumsfeld to shreds. It's like the Iraqi defense minister saying we are, "scared and running". Just more propagnada.

Turned the TV back on a few minutes ago. Felt the same way I did on the morning of September 11th 2001.

The Iraqi government has stooped to the lowest of vile, base practices. Atrocity to prisoners of war. The murder of helpless persons.

It is an abomination that these monsters not only committed despicable crimes, but proudly filmed their inhumanity and bestiality for the world to see. Their NAZI role models would approve.

If these filth think this will weaken our resolve, they are mistaken. Check the records; see how we reacted when we found NAZI atrocities like the Malmedy Massacre.

Time to quit pussyfooting for public relations. This isn't a video game. It's WAR.
