Sky News also reports that the treacherous attacker is a Muslim:
Sky News - Grenade Attacker Understood To Be Muslim.
And a commentator on Fox News TV mentioned it at least twice. But you can't find it yet on their website.
DoD and the US news media websites seem to have a major gag order on this (even heard the preposterous reason that it was because the alleged attacker was wounded too and they have to notify the family first).
OK, fine. Political sensitivities are what they are and we've got Muslim allies in the region we have to stroke. But we here in the US should all understand what this means. It wasn't a Baptist, Buddhist, or Wiccan that fragged his buddies and the command tent. And the FBI is exactly right to be watching mosques.

The article at the link you furnished says:
"Ramsay said the soldier had been guarding a grenades depot at the time.
He said fears about the soldier's behaviour had been raised by colleagues.
"In recent days they were concerned about his behaviour and were not going to send him up to the front when the soldiers were going to be deployed."
If they were so concerned about his recent behavior WHY was he in charge of guarding the grenades!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

And a commentator on Fox News TV mentioned it at least twice. But you can't find it yet on their website. FOX is not mentioning the "Black Muslim" bit at all on their cable broadcast this morning. The article on the CBS website that mentioned "Black Muslim" has been edited -- now it's just a soldier who was "resentful". The "Black Muslim" data is now "down the memory hole" at the major media -- luckily the original text was preserved in the thread on the CBS article (one of the big values of FreeRepublic
