Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, and, of course, Belly Girl...

Per Linda Vester, Pentagon has confirmed the chemical weapons factory discovery.

Nothing big really. Just made a sarcastic call about most celebs being LIBS. It was nothing really.

Saddam's Republican Guard watch over certain WMD sites like they are gold. Looked in the book The Threatening Storm to see if An-Najaf was a known WMD location; doesn't look like it WAS but stuff could have been moved here or the author didn't know about it, despite being former CIA and currently consults with Joint Chiefs of Staff about Iraq.

UN not aware of any large scale plants to produce chem weapons in this area, they thought it was a concrete plant per Sky infobabe.

So he was supportive of the war, making fun of the liberals?
To: terilyn
CBS just reported on a.m radio that they found a chem factory "if true, not verified by independent".
I'm so shocked.

Good guys at that gym. SC is Bush country so I know what you mean; if we were still in CT I'd be miserable.

I read somewhere that the same company that built Hitler's bunker built Saddam's. Can't remember the name...

I give you credit for watching the show. You're a stronger soul than I.
To: GOPyouth
UN inspectors saying they were "totally unaware" of the facility. Wel,, if the factory is capable of making proscribed compounds, then Saddam did not give an accurate account.
MSNBC expressing scepticism as to the nature of the factory. Says lots of political pressure to show WMD (true).
Time will tell. Don't invest certainty in this factory, it may be "bad," and maybe not. It's a big country. If GWB says Saddam had 'em, we'll find 'em.

Quite funny actually - in a monologue about "what movie stars can be" - old, young; straight, gay; Democrats or......
He also said very early that everyone was in favor of his hosting the Awards except France and Germany.
Monologue over, not a single anti-war comment.
To: ztiworoh
It was a pretty neutral call, just pointing out that most celebrities are democrats. I hope one of these a*s-clowns says something stupid.
