Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, and, of course, Belly Girl...

Did the French say that if we "found" chemical/biological weapons or if they "used" them? They may still have an out, ya know.

Amen, I feel that ten years from now, G.W. Bush will be seen in the light that many conservatives now view Reagan.
To: Aaron0617
How stupid is this!!!??
Fox news is letting the whole world know that they're leaving a light infantry to guard this newly discovered chemical weapons plant.
To: LiveFreeOrDie2001
Oh Gee... Now the French will come out & help us out.................. Nah, the chemicals have to be used before the French will get any dirt under their fingernails.

Iraqis aren't welcoming the liberation. Maybe he should spend some time watching the news instead of chasing under aged girls on the internet

Big acknowledgement to Limbaugh. He started the ball rolling. I remember when his show was considered radical. We've come a long way, baby.

We need the French like an elephant needs a bicycle.

Did Bret Baier just say that Iraq surrounded the factory with bums? Or was that bombs?
To: altura
You know, I just realized something. With all the headlines about American & UK casualties, we're not hearing any enemy body counts from Centcom OR the embeds. Good call.

We need the French like a rifleman needs a target.

Yes, I am piggy also. I eat twizzlers and chocolate. I also smoke a lot after quitting for 6 weeks, but I am not going to blame that on anyone. It was my decision to light up again!!

Just a word of caution, because we've had our hopes up and down and dashed. IF this turns out to be an old facility or not weapons grade as originally thought, don't let the negative press that's sure to follow get us nuts. Hussein has so much, it's just a matter of time.
The media's heads will be spinning. Sort of like Rosemary's Baby.

So, Aaron Brown and Wolf Blitzer are stating to the world that they are more trustworthy, knowledgeable, "concerned" than the President? I don't remember the President ever willfully undermining our country or lying. How many times today have these two "opined" without the know-how to back up their big words...i.e., lied?

Hey they surrendered to a Port-a-Potty in the first Gulf War, who's to say some bums won't do the job here
To: Green
The french later clarified folks. They said that if WMD's were found, they would offer medical, and technical assistance, but would not join the coalition militarily.
Don't ya worry, they are still cheese eating surrender monkeys.
