Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, and, of course, Belly Girl...

Let's be clear, nothing confirmed found If I heard correctly, Fox News just reported that the Pentagon confirmed a chemical factory WAS found.

Could you imagine going thru this war with just CNN? Yes.
We are in a pivotal period, with an honest president, and mostly dishonest media. The Democrat party wins many elections, and the NEA has a strong hold on the next generation. Use that image of "all news coming from CNN" to motivate yourself.

Complications as sad as they are, are to be expected in war, and with an evil regime that practices torture and guerilla warfare those complications can be bloody, but we're getting close and soon that regime will be no more
Just pray that God blesses our troops and our country!

Who is the embedded reporter?

They can do something about B-52s. The Iraqis have a number of SA missiles including the SA-2 which got a number of A/C in Viet Nam.

Sorry, but I cannot abide the discussion on sigint happening on FNC right now!!! Shut the hell up about our eavesdropping capabilities!!

Great point. Why go to such lengths to camoflage something if it's so benign. Secret Sauce! Even baby milk factory companies are VERY competitive!

I wonder if the Medina remembers the VII Corps kickin their a#@ 12 years ago......Well I like my Medina funky and cold. I hope those Apaches are puttin some pain on that Iraq battle group.

Please don't use the words DaschOle and American in the same thread!

Not to be casual about it, but it IS war and if we get out of this with less than 1000 dead, I would say it was a great feat. Even 5000 out of 250,000 is not a great number. Of course, EVERY death is tragic.

I got the same thing out of his report as you did. HE was giving great examples of what Iraq's response would be.

All I heard was how he knows the Iraqi's will try to pull the wool over our eyesAnd they had a lot of help from Blix and CO. c/o the UN.
What a friggin farce those weapons inspections were.
To: jimbo123
Yes they did, and Blitz-boy opined that it might be just a regular chemical factory and not a factory for WMD.

Why would it have an army staff with a General in charge if it was making soap?

The Pentagon has confirmed the chemical factory. I have two articles that were on the net - found a chemical weapons factory AND a cache of illegal weapons.
