Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, and, of course, Belly Girl...

If they are still in their blankets this early and you can smell them, I'd say they might be French.

Reading some comments earlier about strategy to bomb behind the enemy to show them what we've got,...that crap has got to stop! No more of this PC garbage! Don't try to "shock and awe the enemy,...KILL THEM!!
To: RobFromGa
yeah, he should get some. Actually, he's pretty great guy, he's a veteran. Stationed in Germany late 70s early 80's, never saw combat, but saw and had to do some pretty bad stuff just the same.

We can't keep allowing these Iraqis to get this close..
Take them prisoners and sort it out later..

Gee, I never thought the surrenders would have GPS,,Saddam is really evil isn't he. But if we were defending our country, I think we would do the same thing, don't you think?

yes, they are confirming 2nd soldier detained. Dare I guess the religious affiliation?
Naaaahhhh!
To: oceanperch
you are so right...can't imagine being anything else!
To: fml
Ditto,,my doc once asked how long I had been tired,,I answered 19 years! My oldest was 19. Having a baby was a treat in the olden days, we went to the hospital for five days and got to sleep and eat and lie around. These drive by deliveries are cruel and inhuman in my opinnion.
