Is it actually illegal to receive Fox on a satellite dish?
Or would it just be the satellite owner
who would be infringing on intellectual property rights
if it intended to transmit unlicensed content to Canada?
I know nothing about the legal questions.
I just take it for granted
(being a Canadian)
that our masters would rather have it
that we not watch Fox.
Don't forget this is the country
where it is illegal
for farmers
to sell their grain
to anyone
except the official government agency.
(And some have gone to prison for doing this)

Thanks for sharing all those tidbits about Canada. How did you find this site? YOu mean it's not against Canadian law to post on FR... and it looks like you've been here a LONG time. You must be an American????

Has there been any kind of a renewal of conservative or libertarian ideas in Canada in recent years? We do seem perhaps to be taking at least baby steps in that direction in the U.S.
