whoever threw the frags also let the enemy know exactly where the officers were tented..frags tossed in ..officers ran out of tent right into enemy small arms fire...
that is called an ambush...and it took inside info from someone...

I was in Vietnam and saw a fragging attempt...the ususal suspects were involved...as they were in the majority of these cases against superiors...it go so bad that by July of 1970 all troops coming into the base camp on standowns had to turn in their weapons and all combat equipment and had them locked up in the company conex to be returned only in the event of being overun or a returning to the field...

I opted at that time to take my standowns out at the battalion aid station on our firebase rather than dealing with what was going on in the base camp...

Somethings never change..but it looks like they could get worse ...

Muslim Chaplins in the US Army?....

The Navy as well. I'd suspect the USAF has some?

Guantanamo Bay, Cuba (Jan. 25, 2002) -- U.S. Navy Lt. Abuhena Saif Ul Islam, a Muslim Chaplain, speaks with a congressional delegation touring Camp X-Ray.
