3 Doors Down - patriotic band, supporting our troops...how refreshing

If anyone here hasn't seen the new video for the band 3 Doors Down's new single "When I'm Gone," it features US servicemen and women hugging their families goodbye, and also some video of our military in action. The video at the end is dedicated to our men and women in uniform. The band also plays concerts for military personnel (i.e. USO shows).

I have liked the band before, but haven't been motivated enough to go out and buy their albums. Today, I decided to show my support...I picked up their new album "Away From the Sun" and "The Good Life," and I encourage other freepers to do the same.

A musical act willing to support our men and women in uniform instead of using their celebrity as a means to present stupid anti-war anti-US political filth.

How refreshing.

I saw that video -- men in uniform cuddling their kids and their wives, really touching. I didn't catch who did it though -- will definately pick up the album.

They are from Mississippi....it's no suprise ;)

I saw the video after my 15 year old son told me about it. He said that they spent almost a year doing USO shows overseas. They are from Bloxi which has in very close proximity the Pascagola (sp) Navy ship yard and the Seabee base in Gulfport.

Thanks for the link. Great video. Brings back my memories...deployments are hell...deploying for war much worse. Good to know some in the music industry are pro-america.

I believe it was #2 on VH1's weekly Top 20 video countdown this week. Even though they are owned by the same company, Viacom, MTV is so far left they probably aren't even touching it. I'm not an avid TRL watcher so I really don't know for sure.
