"--You will hear about them soon enough. In the meantime, the less said the better - loose lips...

Last night they were told "lights out" on the cams--so they just went dark and kept on talking. Today, it was as if the plug was pulled. I hope they're alright. I guess I'm over concerned with all the reports of small ambushes and news reporters getting caught in the mess.

Buck up! Small ambushes are going to happen. But any large Iraqi force that could do damage will be seen by our air assets. Observer helos fly ahead of ground advances, JSTARS is up. Predators are also probably up ahead. Also, heavy ground support - Apaches, A-10's and fighter/bombers are orbiting to wipe out the opposition. If the Iraqis engage, their dead meat. In the Gulf War, with far less close air support and integrated response, we lost fewer than 10 armored vehicles total. It is remarkable that a force of over 100,000 people are engaged and the KIA count remains low. Keep your fingers crossed, and for the sake of our tropps and the Iraqi conscripts, pray that the diminishing leadership capitulates. The kill ratio will be at least 1000/1 if they don't.
