Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein has praised his troops saying he is "satisfied" with their efforts against the coalition.

And he has also called on the United Nations to halt and condemn the attacks on Iraq.

I know why Saddam would issue such a statement. His Defense Minister and top generals lied to him. They would lose their heads if they told him how really bad the situation in the country was.
