Both of us ,the Boss and my self will be there sunday--BUT BEFORE RALLY, WE WILL AT THE VENTURA FAIR GROUNDS ( FLEA AND ANTIQUE MARKET ) OVER AT 2:00 ---Good place to hand out informaton and direction --Good reason to motor down fron LA to the rally!!!

I'll make some Avery labels, 2"x4" and print the FreeRepublic website address at the bottom of each label. Will also bring markers so people can write their names in the open space if they want to.

ALSO! -- Each Saturday our pastor does a broadcast phone message to all membership with Sunday reminders. Our rally was on his message today -- so that'll hit about 150 families. Cool!

There are peace protestors on "our" corner today! They were apparently there last night & were there as early as 9am today. We may want to get there early to stake our spot! Please FReep mail me or Rabid if you have any suggestions.

We've worked too hard over the past few weeks to have them interupt our right to speak our piece!

Cindyloo & I are going to plan on getting there around 8:30. If we can get anyone elso to come a bit early (not necessarily 8:30am) it would be great!

I talked to Kimberly with the big banners (4) of them and she will meet us there at 8:30. These banners are 2 X 6 and very clearly pro-troops/pro-USA.

We had a rally in thousand oaks today on the corner of Moorpark and Hillcrest. About 80 turned out and non stop hinking and waving from the passerbys

That's fantastic news. KVTA radio was announcing your rally (at least I think it was yours). They were including snippets of an interview with a guy named Mike. They've been announcing our rally as well for tomorrow.

There is a Bank of America across the street from the rally corner - I'm planning on parking over there. It's about the most convenient place to park (parking at the Government Center itself is doable - its just a hike to the corner).

I am going to try to get there by 11. I am bringing myself and hopefully my oldest girl and a boy whose parents are in Kuwait. I have six posterboards and I will bring pens, water, and a couple trash bags. Not sure how much success I had at the base...hopefully another mom friend will come with her two girls. her husband is in Kuwait.

Good Morning!

Today is the day! Cindyloo is already at our corner (7:15 am!); jillm, jeni & Rabid are heading over to keep her company. These women are crazy! They are not going to let any anti-war people get in their way!

The local paper had a lot more coverage on pro-military protesting - listed a lot of the Rally for America rallies (but didn't mention Rally for America). Minor mention in the L.A. Times (A23) on the fact that some pro-military events were occurring.

Yesterday's pro-U.S.A. event in T.O. had over 200 people attend. The organizer of that event will be joining us today. I've encouraged him to check out FreeRepublic.com.

Merry10, I believe you contacted a Republican women's group in Oxnard? Anyway, she called me last night and she and about 10 others will be joining us today. Good job!

HELLO ALL FELLOW FREEPERS!!!! I AM SOOOO EXCITED ABOUT WHAT A GREAT TURN OUT WE HAD TODAY!!!! I HAD TO LEAVE AT 2, BUT THERE WERE STILL ABOUT 150 PEOPLE THERE WHEN I LEFT!!!

A LOT OF PEOPLE WERE INTERESTED IN COMING BACK NEXT WEEKEND...I WILL BE THERE!!!

BY 2PM WHEN I LEFT, THERE HAD ONLY BEEN ONE TV STATION WHO HAD COME TO COVER OUR EVENT. KEYT. THOSE OF US WHO LIVE AT POINT MUGU DON'T GET THAT CHANNEL, SO IF SOMEONE COULD TAPE THE NEWS TONITE THAT WOULD BE A GREAT HELP.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED WITH THIS RALLY! WE HAD PEOPLE BRING NAME TAGS, EXTRA POSTERS, MARKERS, LOTS & LOTS OF FLAGS, BANNERS,PATRIOTIC MUSIC, A COOLER OF COLD WATER, ETC.

AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED...THIS WAS A SUCCESS! IF EVERYONE WHO CAME TODAY TOLD 2 PEOPLE & WE COULD HAVE A RALLY TWICE THE SIZE OF THIS ONE!!! JENI SAID SHE WOULD WORK ON A FLIER TO BE EMAILED TO ALL THE NAMES THAT RABID GOT TODAY! I WILL CONTINUE TO CONTACT THE MEDIA ONCE I FIND OUT IF WE ARE GOING TO DEFINATLEY BE THERE NEXT WEEKEND.
