Yes, also did you notice or hear that the police only came out in numbers and donned their full-fledged riot gear when more anti-Americans showed up on the other side of the fence????????! What does THAT tell us - hmmmmmmmmmmmmm?!

We were definitely viewed as the good guys out there today and Braziel at CLTV just didn't know how to report the GOOD stuff happening. I'm writing them a letter as we speak.

I was listening to WLS-AM (Don and Roma) for the most part during the bulk of this morning and Deborah Rowe and Teri O'Brien . To their credit, they really pumped this rally. WLS-AM is to be commended for their PRO-AMERICA programming this weekend.

I would encourage all Chicagoland FReepers to write them a note of thanks for their coverage and their excellence in broadcasting for making this effort to re-schedule all their on-air personalities to reflect this PRO-AMERICA stance.

This was my first Freep! It was very cool meeting other Freepers in person, and being there actively supporting our troops, our president, and our freedom. Many fine Americans, complete with flags and signs attended (My favorite was "Daschle for President...of France"). The Harley drivebys were way cool. It was nice to see Patrick O'Malley(R) (former IL senator/IL Governor candidate/a true conservative) there. Iraqi-Assyrian group was there testifying to the masses the evils of Saddam Huessien and how they are glad that the USA will liberate Iraqis people; I was glad other people got to hear that. RedWing, unspun, justshutupandtakeit, and TheRightGuy should be commended for their fine comments. chicagolady was a gracious host at the "press" table. Freepers ROCK! Count me in for future Chicagoland Freeps, and don't be afraid to ask for my help!

The great news is it was so crowded on the PRO-AMERICAN side of the plaza by the time I got there that I didn't bother trying to push through the crowd and stuck around the edge by and large. From that vantage point I was also in a position to give a thumbs up to all the cars and trucks passing by who were honking to support us, etc. ;-)

Sorry I couldn't stick around and meet some of you newer FReepers! (My husband's sister is in town from SC and I had to go pick up my girls who were finishing up their practice by mid-afternoon so we could get back out to the NW suburbs by dinner time! :-)

Welcome aboard! and yes, FReepers DO ROCK!!

The Harleys were fantastic! Somebody mentioned that it was like a fly-over. The only problem was the one pass they made during a prayer but the lady who was leading it proceeded valiantly to the completion. AMEN!!!

Gee, can't wait for Ski & Skinner tomorrow. Or as I call it, The Venom & Toxin Show.

Didja ever notice that when Nancy Skinner is a guest on Fox News, they just call her, "Radio Talk Show Host"? First off, they ought to say co-host. Second off, they (I could hear Sean saying this) ought to point out that she shares a MERE three hours a WEEK on the radio. What does she do for her "day job?" I bet she's a paid political person of some ilk.

I heard that Nancy Skinner's real jos was (and I am truly not making this up) a stand-up comedienne. And if Ski isn't, he should be a clown.

>>Nancy Skinner . . . a stand-up comedienne<<

Well, she is HALF successful. On the RARE occasions I listen, half the time I laugh, the other time I cry.

I was at the rally downtown. It was really great to see people of all backgrounds, neighborhoods, ethnicity and political parties at the event. I've been proud to be an American before, but today you could feel that the human desire to be free is not limited to one nation. Many of the people I met at the event 1st generation Americans. I'm 100% American and these 1st generation immigrants only make me proud that the blood flowing through my veins is neither bought nor sold, but rather earned through our actions.

The United States is still a beacon of freedom and our unity and support makes that beacon shine a little brighter. Heres to our troops in Iraq. We love you. We thank you. We pray for you. You are the Men and Women that have the courage to not only face tyranny, but face it with honor, pride and dignity.

When is the next rally? I'll be there. And more will be coming with me. The 70% that are polled as supporters of the war will stand with us.

Per nancyskinner.com:

"She has worked in the world of corporate finance, economic development , and continues her work as an environmental consultant, helping businesses and communities incorporate advanced environmental technology and design principles. Her work has been acknowledged with a Presidential award."

Ticks me off when Sean does that too; maybe we should send this to him so he can announce her correctly as a part-time co-host on Sunday for 3 hours and the rest of the time is an enviro-capitialist!

One thing of note I have seen since returning from the Rally. Both ABC News and C-SPAN incorrectly identified the Rally as "Pro-War" and that the Rally was organized TO COUNTER the anti-war protests that were already going on.

Also, NBC quoted a Pakistani newspaper that said the US had dropped atomic bombs on Iraq. WOW.

I'm still new to the freepers, but very very conservative and love what you all do, you give me so much hope which I indeed need finishing my last year in a 4yr sentence of liberal-taught public high school. I went with my family to chicago, we made some nice signs you might recall... "Daschle for President of France" "France we surrender take Daschle" those were just two of the 5 or 6 we made. Really fun! We visited D.C. 5 or 6 months ago and went to a freepers counter rally to an anti-war march and were well outnumbered but standing beside others with similar convictions was uplifting and I think it was then I silently commited myself a freeper for life. God bless all and great job out there today!

So proud of all of you. A sad, loyal FReeper could not go do to duties at work. Was listening to rock station WXRT-FM at work, a CBS/Viacom station. Every hour they had "War Update" news, and the PRO-WAR rallies in NYC and Chicago were mentioned!!!

The REAL AMERICA has been heard!

A Brit gave the updates. (Not a voice heard before doing XRT news, so the news update must've been NATIONALLY BROADCAST)!!

You guys are great!!!!

Let's roll and GOD BLESS AMERICA!!
