Did anyone else see this? I don't have capability to video capture the picture.

Yes i did too... I also noticed the thick black smoke. That was clearly oil burning.. but i did see the truck with the missile on it also..
To: craig_eddy
I saw that too, but the newsmouths did not seem to notice it.

I saw it...I suspect military types saw it as well. I would expect it to be a future target wherever it is going. I see those divisions of Republican Guard as "sitting ducks." I wonder if that is how they are feeling?

Email Fox News and told them what you saw. Last night people thought they say a missle so Fox went back and reviewed the tape. It turned out to be a bird. I'm sure they'll go back and check it out.
To: craig_eddy
Its not a SCUD. Flat flat bed truck huh...its a surface- to-air-missile or a short range (150 km)ground-to-ground missile.

Hehe, this was no bird. I saw that too, Shep is great: had me on the edge of my seat waiting to see the missile go by. :)

I've suspected for some time that we're going to have to endure some missiles being launched from the Baghdad city center.

We have tactical ballistlic missles too. Most heavy divsions have a battery of them.

That's the modern six lane expressway going up from Basra to Nasiriya and onto Baghdad. Its one the Marines will taking later in the day.
To: craig_eddy
We saw it..big as life. Backed up the tv and watched it again. You could not mistake it for a bird! It was huge..

I've noticed that sometimes the weekend "Friends" care more about their question than they do about the answer. The weekday crew is outstanding!

"Its not a SCUD."
It was a big missle for surface to air.
To: CasearianDaoist
how can a heavy division find use out of short range missiles? honestly curious

Yep.
Regarding video capture, get a TV card for your computer. You can watch TV while online or generally fiddling with your rig's programs.
To: craig_eddy
Finally some comments: experts say it's a "mobile surface to air missile."
To: craig_eddy
they just replayed it -- your observation appears to be accurate. good job!

I saw - I wondered - SCUDS?? I have a photo of a scud close up. I'll try to find it and post it here on this thread. I didn't see the news you saw but if it's a scud the Iraqi's have been lying all along. Which we already know.

You're wrong. The commentator said "that looks like some sort of anti-aircraft missile."
