Grampa Dave and I have had extensive discussions about the potential danger of the Black Muxlims in the war on terror. I have been following a lot of articles about Muslim recruitment, and they are heavily involved inconverting in the prisons and in gangs; I personally think they are working hard on campuses as well.

The Portland Al Qaeda cell was all Black Muslims, except for the contact who was from Yemen. One of the guys had joined the National Guard with the intent of learning about weapons and procedures.

Also, the DC Sniper had been in the Gulf War and had done this hand grenade routine (why he was only discharged instead of imprisoned I do not know).

I think there is a real security risk with some of these people, and it makes me nervous that some might be in charge of sensitive materials, weapons, or information.

Nothing going on in Baghdad and Fox is giving real time account of arrest of the solider at Camp PA. I'd forget about the damn sound in Baghdad too.

This is the kind of thing that could be very effective in breaking down the trust link GI's have with each other. Can you imagine having a Christian and a Muslim military?

Breaking from Kuwait:

Col. Ben Hidges tent—injured, but in control.

A soldier (engineer, 2nd 327th) surrounded w/another man. Lying on groud, shot in leg. Hiding nearby. Armed security.

Col. Hodges tent—3 grenades. 14 hurt.

Within minutes SCUD or something released. Air attack warning after grenade attack.

Soldier had been acting wierd. 4 grenades had been missing.

Fox - one soldier reported that the attacker had been acting weird before the incident. 4 grenades went missing as well.
