I presume that some or all of the 10 that were injured were commanding officers.
Earlier report said most of the regulars were out the camp and most remaining were officers. So the injured may most or all be officers.

Not really, It could be caused by resentment or someone cracking uder pressure. The reports of fragging in Viet Nam were grossly overstated.

You are correct:
John Allen Muhammad, one of the two suspects in the Washington, D.C.-area sniper attacks, is a twice-divorced, 41-year-old Gulf War veteran who converted to Islam 17 years ago and earned an expert marksmanship badge in the U.S. Army.

"You can also use a leaf blower and whoosh it all out the back door"
I tried it with a snow blower and some how it doesn't work!
The ONLY reason I have a snowblower is I used to live in Indiana and I only brought it back to show my friends
in Calif. what one looks like.

Why did they hate Reagan? Just as there are some on the right that hated Bill Clinton just because he was a Democrat (most hated him because he was a lying, evil scumbag), many on the left hate all Republicans simply for existing.
Other than that, they hate them because they are successful.

Remember the story about the Iraqis getting American uniforms? Hmmm...

Amy Kellogg from Israel: Kids still going to school...carrying their gas mask kits.
"Tommy Franks refused to say that they (Israel) were out of danger." Well, of course.
Gaza strip: Palestinians demonstrating, not too bad. People in bars and restaurants, relaxed....far different than from Gulf War.

I am with both of you. What is really astounding to me is that President Bush won me over with his concern for children, reaching out to urban areas through faith based institutions (which are one of the few working institutions in these areas), call to love a neighbor, etc. In my lifetime there hasn't been a President who realized that it is the people who are the source of compassion not the government. How that gives rise to so much hatred, I have no idea.

They thought they had a lock on the White House, now Dubya is there and he's kicking ass and they are so pissed off and jealous its killing them. Its their ideology against us, the fact that we are all Americans and Dubya is protecting our national security is irrelevent to them.

Your post on the distinction between terrorism and war bears repeating:
The reason they are called "terrorist" attacks instead of "acts of war" is because the bombers weren't acting in the furtherence of any "state's" foreign policy.
I saw a post somewhere on FR where someone distinguished the Cole attack from the Twin Towers because one target was military and the other civilian. That can only be a product of modern education. WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!
War is diplomacy by other means. Terrorism is NOT war by other means. It is cowardice driven by fear purported by political failures.
Our fear is righteous. We do not fear irrationally. We fear with reason, and we act upon it.
