Stuck between the US Seals and the Royal Marines, whom they did not want to fight, and a regime that would kill them if they refused, it was the conscripts only way out.I guess they were stuck between Iraq and a hard place.

Oy, this is so politically incorrect for the American media, I somehow think we won't be seeing much of it here.This is written by a Brit. He refers to a one star as a Brigadier not a Brigadier General as an American would. The Brits don't add the word General to a one stars title, sort of like the way we once called a Rear Admiral Lower Half a Commodore.
