Actually I'm with him on this. I think we should get out once the war's over. I'd be more than happy to let Chirac and his Euro club deal with the cleanup afterwards.

Yes, Mr. Chirac should remember an old US phrase: POSSESSION IS NINE-TENTHS OF THE LAW and the only law in Iraq is going to be set by two countries that don't owe France a thing: the US and UK.

Chiraq drove his country down the dead end road of inaction and apeasment and now him and his beloved (soon to be defeated.) saddom will share inaction during during rebuilding.

Now that the bread is baked all the lazy farm animals want to get a slice.

There is no end to the sheer arogance of the left.

"France will not accept a resolution that would legitimise military intervention and give the US and British the powers of administration in Iraq,"...

Time to rub Chirac's nose in the smelly cheese and tell him that neither France nor the UN has any say in the matter. By force of arms, we have taken the powers of administration in Iraq.

To the victors go the spoils!

You mean the same way he resisted this war we are fighting right now? Let him resist, I would buy a ticket to see President Bush's response to this one.*S*

We'll appear to "wimp out" on this one by choice. It's in our best interest - let's us focus our attention on North Korea.

This can't stand. The sniveling cowards won't fight, contribute nothing, don't support us, and now want a piece of peace?

France should be next!

I have no brief against the UN being involved in the post Saddam administration of Iraq. OTOH, I don't think the Allies, or even the UN, should allow the irresponsible, self-aggrandizing likes of Chirac get away with the kind of threats and posturing that he's indulging in.

Exactly how is it in our best interest to further support a corrupt French led UN abortion in post war Iraq. And what does France have to do with North Korea?
