Another photo of American compassion found on Diogenesis' thread:

Medics from 40 Commando, British Royal Marines, treat an injured Iraqi after taking the Al-Faw Peninsula, a site of important oil installations in southern Iraq, Friday, March 21, 2003, in this photograph taken through infrared Night Vision equipment. Allied troops were advancing through the deserts of southern Iraq Friday, meeting resistance from Iraqi forces in some areas and soldiers surrendering in others.
