Ivan, do you have any info or links as to why the US Marines were placed under British command?...was it a political, or a tactical decision?...YOu have great expertise in desert warfare, and the Brit troops are superb, but there's always a danger inherent in coordinating between two different nations...even though we both speak the same language (g)...was it done mainly to give Blair cover..refute the "Bush's poodle" crowd?
