Paris is fine. We can hardly tell anything is going on. People I work with did note that the Gare de Lyon train station was cordoned off last night due to the Ricin find. However, they found it on Monday, but didn't get lab results until yesterday.
Apparently some of the transatlantic flights are being cancelled. This may be economic due to lower demand, rather than an attempt to improve security.
I'll be here for another week.

Guess they got pissed off at seeing their city on fire on the news all the time.

Hehehehehe.... Poor, poor Petah. Won't be interviewing pro Saddam citizens with a gun to their back anymore. Tsk, tsk... Such a pity.

I am hearing this from Paris. The TV is on in my hotel room. Be careful. You're smack in the middle of enemy territory there in Paris, with no allied troops to CYA.

The first reporter into Baghdad will be David Bloom with the lead Army outfit according to reports this morning. They are at the head of the long convoy heading into Baghdad. They go ahead rapidly to clear the way and then let the convoy catch up.

Are you there to negotiate France's surrender to Free Republic?
To: PhiKapMom
This live coverage of the war is exhilerating, frightening, awe-inspiring, amazing, and a host of other adjectives.
God bless those men and women.

What is Peter Arnett going to doPeter Arnett is reporting for NBC National Geographic and NBC is using him to report from Baghdad.
Having said that, have you noticed that all of the reporters on CNN are Brits or from a country with an accent that sounds British? (i.e. Christine Amanpoor, Nick Roberts & James Carville?)

I'm betting that they hope CNN's staff gets captured and Saddam gives the captors the $14,000 reward...?

I hope this doesn't mean they will start killing their innocents now, and blaming our guys. And, they don't want any chance of filming going on.
