March 21, 2003 -- WE have entered a genuine revolution in warfare when the casual American TV viewer or newspaper reader has a vastly better picture of the theater of conflict than the enemy's commanders possess. While all attention is on improvements in our weaponry, the most devastating imbalance between the forces of the U.S.-led coalition and those of Iraq lies in the realm of information.

President Bush is often seen as not the brightest bulb in the world. But he displays wisdom and character. If even some of our most average citizens can do a creditable job at being president, it puts shame on some of our brightest who have decided to ditch government service or to be anti-American in their views and out-looks.
But I think Bush is smarter than people give him credit for. He has simply learned to absorb the evil blows his political enemies land on him and wait for God to turn the evil back on itself. I don't believe power corrupts, I believe that the corrupted are tempted by power as a means of prideful self exaltation. The non-corrupted wield power as though they were conduits, allowing God to execute his judgment through them. This does not mean that mistakes aren't made for the burdens on such leaders are very high.
The world makes a mistake when they trash our American way of life and think us such simpletons. We have true depth of character when even average citizens can become extra-ordinary leaders. Nations do rise and fall, and should this nation fall someday...I hope some future peoples will look at our successes and failures, learn from our failures, then build an even greater society than the US was, based on our example of self government based on the inner moral restaints of her peoples and their love of freedom!
