In an interview yesterday with Petty Jennings on ABC television, Blix was asked if he thought Iraq had WMDs and his answer was YES.
Why didn't this diploweenie make a plain statement like that when he had the world stage in his UN report? I suspect the answer is he is aligned with the anti-war, anti-American, anti-Bush leftists.
Thank God Blix is now i-r-r-e-l-e-v-a-n-t.

I hear that buzzing sound again...
Seriously though, what makes scuds illegal... I thought that their range was under the allowable limit?

I think the basic qualification for this job must be the ability to speak without saying anything

Mr. Blix (after consulting with Mr. Clinton): "Of course, it depends on what your definition of SCUD is..."

One year an ex-president that was so cowardly even a wild bunny rabbit attacked him on cameraAs I recall, that was Carter's fishing story. He and a friend were out fishing in their boat when a giant "killer" rabbit starting swimming toward their boat. They got away from it, but there weren't any pictures taken. At the time, it was suggested by many that Carter & friend must have been drinking up the last of his brother's Billy Beer. The whole Carter family was unbelievable.

I was listening to Tom Oliphant on Imus this morning and he said that the troops better find WMD and soon or there would be a large outcry. I think most Americans would not agree with him, but whoever is backing this loud contingent of anti-Americanism will not let it go. Never heard Oliphant before--terrible!

Which is worse, a bullet in the head or a Swede lecturing, I leave to your discretion. Well if those are the choices...my personal choice would be some Vogon poetry. A much easier way to go.

Why do I have visions of Blix singing and dancing to "The Sidestep" from "The Best Little *House in Texas"?
To: kattracks
And in other news, Hans Blix removes his head from his arse.

That Hans is some genius, eh?
NOT.

The UN never ceases to amaze me. This is all part of the strategy (that I am afraid we still might fall for) to let us fight sans UN and then have the UN take credit when we win, and demand a role (skim $, power) in the re-formation

This just in. The U.N. Security Council, in a massive show of force, as passed resolution 1441A, calling for the vociferous wagging of fingers at the Hussein regime for using prohibited SCUD missiles in combat. Said Hans Blix, Chief UN Weapons Inspector, "This is the kind of unified show of force that will truly shock and awe the Iraqis into complete compliance. With the addition of the 'threatening fist' addendum to this resolution, the U.N. has shown that compliance is the only option. Hopefully, we will not have to resort to our 'weapons of mass frustration', such as the outstretched arms and the hands on the head. Those must be used only as a last resort."
