Hey Nut yeahhh we don't boo Canuck national anthem if one of US Sport teams play Canadian sport team

To be fair, I remember pretty clearly the fans of the Detroit Pistons booing the visiting Toronto Raptors during the NBA playoffs last year. It's absurd - probably nearly all the players of both teams were American. It's equally absurd for the Habs fans in Montreal to boo the U.S. anthem (being played for the visiting Islanders) when the most players from both Montreal and New York are Canadian.

Right, but that was because they had been booed in Toronto. I think it all started after the friendly fire incident in Afghanistan when those Canadian soldiers were killed.

The next time I am at a sporting event with a Canadian team, I will respectfully stand and sing "Oh Canada!" when their anthem is played. I will want to show respect for the best traditions of that nation, and it is, after all, a fine national anthem.

We should keep ourselves in the right. We can't do anything about anybody else. It will cost us nothing to take the high road with Canada, and perhaps we can lead by example.
