Actually, I'll present a larger problem, which I have before. What if he is alive and there is a scorched earth policy. Imagine 200,000 people infected with the Plague while we're going house to house dealing with snipers and suicide bombers inside Baghdad. This does pose an interesting problem. I have no suggestions.

I don't see why not. We can set up local government around the rest of the country and get on with it, and jusst wait them out. There'll be a rebellion inside Baghdad quite soon.
In any event, I don't believe the US is going to do the stupid thing, with house-to-house battles, like Stalingrad.
