ABC radio had a report on the videoconference with the 9 generals. The President asked each in turn if he had everything he needed and was satisfied with the plan. Upon receiving affrimative responses, he gave the go order quoted in this report.

A great President, firmly in command, carrying out his duties with seriousness and purpose. What a Godsend at this time.

This is beautiful. But--forgive me--I'm just the least little bit disappointed that after he gave the formal order, he didn't say, "Let's roll," in honor of Todd Beamer and the brave citizens who fought the first battle of this war.
