Some prayers have no words, but are simply a mute beseeching of the Lord to reassure us that He is with us.

"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express." Romans 8:26

Sometimes there are no words.......

Amen to your Spirit-inspired prayers, the Lord brings so much to your mind and it is good to pray along with you.

Today, for the first time, I had to turn off the tv when I heard the news of the captured and dead from the maintenance group. It was just too much and I had to just sit and read scriptures and pray.

While feeling down, I reminded myself of a fact about victories I KNOW is true. Victory comes after praise. Praising, blowing the trumpets, singing. Those examples were not given to us for nothing. And, no matter what the situation looks like, God tells us to rejoice, again I say rejoice. He doesn't say just when things are all happy and good. He says always. His ways are higher than ours, lean not to our own understanding. Praise him, as we pray for the families of the lost, and for those fighting the fight, and rejoice that he has brought prayer warriors together to effect what happens in the war and in our country.

Thanks, I needed that right at this minute. Rejoice! The Lord is with them, even in the dens of torture! Be with them Lord, and let them know that You love them, and that we thank them with all our heart.

Oh maranatha, thank you for your post 362. Praising and seeking the Lord's joy in the midst of sorrow is truly the answer. Thank you for the reminder. Thank you for joining us so faithfully in our prayers. Glory to God for ALL the good stuff!
