"A pall has fallen over the Senate chamber," Byrd said. "We avoid our solemn duty to debate the one topic on the minds of all Americans, even while scores of thousands of our sons and daughters faithfully do their duty in Iraq."

And it's because scores of thousands of American sons and daughters are doing their faithful duty in Iraq that Senator Byrd could, at the very least, keep his crappy piehole shut. I know it's too much to expect he actually do *his* duty, and support our sons and daughters.

I wish, how I wish, someone would simply tell these people to sit down and stay quiet for a while.

I too, wish they would refrain from their idiocy for the good of our country.

But if you look at it in another way, it is actually a good thing this has happened.
These weasels have laid their cards on the table and have again shown themselves to be evil. So while part of me goes nuts when they blab their idiocy, another part of me says, "Say everything that's in your heart and mind, show everyone your true motives."
