No surprise he was convicted, only that it took the jury so long.

Cato, I hope you've got your hip waders ready. The b.s. from Ganim & company is going to get deep!

Like almost all of the cities in Connecticut, Bridgeport is a mess. Southwestern Connecticut is like a checkerboard of rich yuppie suburbs and decaying urban slums.
Much of this problem results from the social engineering and "urban development" that began under FDR.

I work in Bridgepuertorico.
Swill hole.
Probably 18 or twenty tax payers left in the whole city, up the north end.
A socialist dream city....every one's on welfare....coming to a town near you, folks!!!!!
I'm only here for the cheap rent. This is the face of "diversity" folks. I can turn on Bridgeport publik TV and watch black militant muslims talk about how blacks have to "kill whitey".
Next door to me is a muffler shop where the owner (asian) keeps his mom in a plywood box all winter and lights wood fires on the shop floor to keep warm instead of turning on the heat. I wonder how firemarshall Bob would like that one.
On the other side of me is a shop full of illegal trespassers from various C. American countries and Mexico. One of them went on a drunk driving spree a few months back and killed someone here in town....not a big deal, he just ran back to Mexico. These guys are just basicsally taking the entry level jobs that (American) kids who are graduating from trade hi-schools should get apon graduation.
I just stroll around my shop and sing "it's a small world...". Whenever I need a break, I pop my head outside for a look around. It's finally getting warm outside now, so I get to watch the homeless guy who sleeps in his truck next to my shop pimp out his wife for $5.00 a "Lewinski".
.....every night when I drive out of this hell hole, I thank my lucky stars I don't live here!

(You don't live on Wooster Street in New Haven, do you?) No, but I've been known to eat and drink entirely too much there every few months!
My in-laws are from that part of the state. They stand firmly in the Pepe's corner, though. Someday I'm going to sneak into Sally's, risking life and limb.

No, I know who you're talking about. I actually happened to se that infamous show where he had oral sex with a stripper on publik tv.
That guy used to deliberately park his car in a no parking zone right in front of Bgpt. Cops, just to instigate a fight. A few cop friends of mine made sure to give'em a bad case of waffle face whenever they arrested him. Ya know, reap what you have sown. Karma and all that stuff.

The only surprise is that he wasn't convicted of the other five counts.
And remember, Bridgeport is the town that gave us Russell & Adrian Peeler, the two drug dealers who murdered eight-year old Leroy "BJ" Brown. The boy was slated to stand witness against the Peelers in the murder of his own father. The boy and his mother were under court protection, until the Bridgeport judge decided to provide their current whereabouts to the Peelers.
In the jury selection for Leroy's trial - held in Bridgeport - the judge insisted each prospective juror announce their full name, and place of residence, in the presence of Russell Peeler and his defense team. Russell was already convicted and serving a life sentence at the time of the Leroy Brown murder trial.
The Leroy Brown murder trial ended in a hung jury. Go figure.

Besides being a first-class sleazeball, Ganim is also best buddies with Bill Clinton. Oh, but I repeat myself.
Couldn't happen to a more "deserving" guy.

Someday I'm going to sneak into Sally's, risking life and limb.HAHAHA!...Well, I've not been there for 11-12 years, but if Pepes' line was long I went to Sallys'. Grew up in North Haven, and my very favorite was Bimonte's in Hamden...(trained at Pepes')...I've been told it changed hands and is now a dissappointment...oh well, I have my memories.
