HE was certainly humbled when he provided the commentary for John Glenn's space flight a couple of years ago. A third grader would have done a better job and certainly spoken with more clarity than did Cronkite.

Cronkite began by discussing one of his journalistic high points, reviewing the D-Day invasion with President Eisenhower in Normandy. I'm surprised he didnt tip off Hitler after his meeting.
In response to a question about media bias, Cronkite said the press is not politically partisan but does tilt toward liberalism. He said that the smartest president he ever met was Jimmy Carter.
Kinda sums it all up, don't it?
