U.S. Denies as 'Not True' Rumors on Iraq's Aziz

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. officials on Wednesday said rumors that Iraq's Deputy Prime Minister Tareq Aziz had either defected to U.S. authorities or was shot trying to flee Baghdad were untrue.
"These rumors are just not true," a U.S. official told Reuters.
